End of Season and Feeling Thankful. It has been several months since we last shared a newsletter with you. We hope you are well. The 2024 growing season was our best yet and we are feeling thankful for all of those who contributed to making it so. To grow quality produce, we need to have healthy soil. We wish to thank Joe Scrimger, agronomist at Bio-Systems II, for guiding us down a path of balancing the minerals in our soils while paying attention to what’s happening biologically. Although we have just begun this journey in understanding and amending our soil profile, we are already seeing improvement in the health and resiliency of our crops.

We are also thankful to all our CSA customers this year. Our farm provided weekly produce to 32 families over the course of the growing season, many of whom were returning members. A highlight of our CSA this year was hosting two farm dinners. It was wonderful to get to know many families, watch children play, and enjoy a variety of foods.

We could not have had such a productive farm without the help of two employees – Nick Niffin and Gabe Horgan. Both helped us with all aspects of our farm operation, from seeding and transplanting, to weeding, harvesting, washing and packing. Nick helped us at the beginning of our season and Gabe during the latter part of our season. We enjoyed their company and conversation over shared meals each day.

Lastly, we are thankful for the opportunity to grow food for our community. Whether you have purchased our produce through our CSA, online store, or when we attended the Fenton or Holly Farmers markets, you have inspired us to keep growing! We hope to continue to provide you with quality, nutrient-dense, Certified Naturally Grown produce for years to come!

Online Store. Did you know that you can purchase produce and eggs from us year-round? Place an order through our online store and pick it up the next day at the farm. You may pay online or with cash upon pickup.
Plant Sale 2025. We will be holding our annual plant sale again in May 2025. Do you enjoy gardening and normally purchase your transplants from a retailer? Consider purchasing all your plants from us! We start all crops from organic/non-GMO seed and use organic soil. Previous customers have shared that our plants outgrew many of the plants they purchased elsewhere! We will announce a pre-order window in February/early March. By pre-ordering with us, you are able to select all the vegetables you would like us to start for you. In May, we will have a plant pickup day and sale. So, if you’re thinking about a garden this year, let us help you!
