CSA

CSA stands for “community supported agriculture” in which members of the community purchase shares in a local farm. In return, members receive a weekly box of fresh vegetables (or other products, depending on the type of farm) throughout the growing season. This model has been used by many small farms to ensure their viability and vitality in providing local communities fresh, nutrient-dense produce. It also provides members a direct connection to the farmer, thereby promoting an understanding of the growing practices involved. Having access to a local food source ensures the freshest food while fostering less reliance on food systems (e.g., grocery stores) utilizing shipping over large distances.

Savannah, chief baker and flower farmer of The Dietitian's Kitchen, writes "as a Registered Dietitian, I'm passionate about helping people nourish their bodies through delicious, wholesome food. Growing up on a farm, I have a deep appreciation for agriculture and using fresh, local ingredients whenever possible. This is my family’s third CSA season with Bass Roots and our first season of partnering with them to provide you with fresh, fermented over 42-hours and made with love organic artisan sourdough bread." Each bread share will be available for pick up along with your produce share. Payment for bread shares will be handled separately by Savannah.
You have two options for membership payment, less the $25 deposit which will be applied to the total. You may pay in full for the season beginning in January 2025, or choose to pay in four installments. Installments will be due January, June, July, and August. This ensures that the farm has revenue to operate throughout the growing season.
Select the option that will be your regular pick up point. You may switch to another pick up location by letting us know.
Please select your preferred method of payment. We will send you an invoice with payment instructions, based on your preference. Credit card transactions will include an additional 4% to cover credit card fees.
